The back belt was easy to install. First we took off the bolt holding the back seat up. Then we used a supplied washer, spacer, the harness loop, and our own spacer to take up the rest of the slack made of 1/2" inside diameter copper tubing. This belt didn't take any fabrication and still holds the back seat securely.

To install this belt, just take the plastic cover off to get to the Torx bit. Undo the bolt, insert the Schroth harness loop and reinstall the bolt. Simple.

With the stock belt housing unbolted, you can figure out a way to make both the Schroth harness loop and the stock seatbelts work in harmony.

Here you can see the two pilot holes we drilled to make room for the Schroth harness loop.

|
Next we used a Dremel tool with a cutting wheel. This made for a quick, although sloppy slot in the plastic.

Time to test fit, and it looks great. Now time to put a bend in the Schroth harness loop.

In leu of a vise on a bench, we created one using 2x4's, a weight, and a C clamp. Atleast it worked!

With the stock belt back and the Schroth fitting well, time to sit in the seat and adjust all the straps.

All adjusted and ready for racing.
